Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in UAE, Q2 2025

The second quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in the United Arab Emirates. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited varied patterns in downloads, active users, and revenue.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads ranging from 17K to 22K, peaking at 22.8K in the final week of June. The app's active users hovered around 1.8M to 1.9M throughout the quarter, showing a slight fluctuation. Revenue was negligible, with only a minor peak of $4 in early June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent download rate, averaging around 7K to 9K weekly. Active users showed slight volatility, fluctuating from 267K to over 300K, with an increase to 301K in early June.

Google Earth had modest weekly downloads, staying between 2.1K and 2.8K. Active users demonstrated a stable trend, remaining around 22K to 23K, with a minor uptick towards the quarter's end.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation showed a steady download pattern, with weekly figures mostly between 1.2K and 1.6K. The app's active users ranged from 44K to 53K, with some fluctuations observed mid-quarter.

Ultra 3D Sattelite Map, a newer entrant, had an interesting trajectory with downloads starting at 230 in its initial week and climbing to a peak of 2.7K in early June.
